ED CHEN M.Ed, RCC, CCC

One of the co-founders of Lifted Counselling and Consulting, Ed is a BCACC registered and CCPA certified clinical counsellor. Ed received his Master of Education degree in Counselling Psychology from Simon Fraser University. 

Ed has experience working as a Child and Youth Mental Health Clinician with the Provincial Government of British Columbia. Worked and been trained under provincial mental health programs such as Early Psychosis Intervention and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Ed provided individual, group and family treatment to high-risk youths and families experiencing concerns such as suicidality, self-harm, impulsivity, depression, anxiety, trauma, addictions, and psychosis.  In addition, Ed has also worked in both the educational system and community settings with immigrant youths, youths with behavioral concerns, and youths with special needs.  

An advocate of evidence-based treatment, Ed focuses his practice from an interpersonal approach in combination with behavioral, skill-based strategies. He receives ongoing training in empirically supported treatments such as Dialectical Behavioural Therapy from Behavioral Tech in Seattle, Washington. As a skilled speaker and an active member of the global community, Ed has presented both locally at the Undergraduate Psychology Conference at the University of British Columbia, and internationally at the Transformation of At-Risk Youths Conference in Singapore providing skill-based trainings for parents, teachers, and health care professionals. 

Ed is also the proud owner of two chihuahuas, Zoey Kabooey and Mocha Frappuccino. They are best friends.

PJ LEWIS M.Ed, RCC, CCC

One of the co-founders of Lifted Counselling and Consulting, PJ is a BCACC registered and CCPA certified clinical counsellor. PJ received his Master of Education degree in Counselling Psychology from Simon Fraser University. 

PJ has experience working as a Child and Youth Mental Health Clinician with the Provincial Government of British Columbia. Having worked and been trained under provincial mental health programs such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Dialectical Behavioural Therapy, and Early Psychosis Intervention, PJ provides individual, group and family treatment to high-risk youth and families experiencing concerns such as suicidality, self-harm, impulsivity, depression, anxiety, trauma, and addictions.  In addition, PJ has been trained in Satir Transformational Systemic Therapy and Emotion Focused Family Therapy to further augment his work with couples and families. PJ is also trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR).

He receives ongoing training in empirically supported treatments such as Dialectical Behavioural Therapy from Behavioral Tech in Seattle, Washington.
